I gave this book 5 stars because of Blake and Ginny's characters and the love they had for each other; from their young love that abruptly ended when Ginny moved away to the rekindling of adult love that formed when they met each other again. Although, it appears that their love never died. It was great to read about Luke and Filly, Chauncy, Abby and baby Erin. Also to read about both of the characters parents, to see how Dora is in book 2. The storyline of behind how Luke and Ginny were separated and what caused it, to how the journey of getting back together transpires is very sweet and gives a warm, fuzzy feeling. The characters all came to life. Great HEA ending to an excellent story, book2. Happy Reading!*****vrnb*****

Good story line but some sexual content, which for the time it was depicted to have occurred, this would have been obscene for a decent girl. Also to allow a girl to be alone with a man at his house without any supervision would be scandalous. But overall the book was fun to read as a sequel to the first book.
Ginny has run away from New York and a twerp of a suitor that won't take No for an answer. She shows up with a splash, literally, at her brother's home. This is a funny story with a great love romance. The relationship between Ginny and Blake is funny, a little sad and a lot of love. Definitely a book to read!
Enjoyable reading. Well-written story of a head-strong female running away from a determined male - and found the boy she had loved when she was much younger all grown up.
Several things going on which keeps you reading.
This second book of the series is not as well written as the first book. At times the story line is very unbelievable. Also the editing of both books needs improvement. The historical aspects of both books can be interesting. The first book is worthwhile to read.
Good clean romance with wonderful character development as well as transporting the reader back to the 1800's for a very enjoyable read. Love scenes are only between married folks and go only deep enough to satisfy the romantic at heart , always showing true love and respect between the characters. No filthy language or intense love scenes.
This is the second book I've read by this author and it is just as interesting as the first one. She makes you feel a if you're right there in the story and the language is clean and romance is sweet.
This was a really good romance. While Ginny has always looked to causes and travel, Blake is very happy living a simple life. The come together when Ginny comes back to the small town of her childhood and to Blake. It is a good story with family and friends conniving to bring Ginny and Blake together. A lovely visit to small town America in the late 1800's.
